The GITS SAC FA community is a great community, this game being one of the greatest FPS games I have ever seen in steam. On August 21's the First Assault Team announced they would be closing the game down. Many of us are clearly upset over this and most of us want to keep it going. One way or another. There has been many suggestions and the biggest one is to move the game to P2P. Private Servers, etc. To keep the game alive and going not just shut it down and remove from steam. I ask you all from the First Assault Community to come together. Let's show them we want this game to continue. Show them how much we love this game. Sign the petition to keep First Assault Active, and move it to P2P.

I have finished drafting a formal request to the developers outlining the technical feasibility of shifting to peer to peer hosting. I am currently researching the best channels to deliver this proposal to their management team to ensure it reaches the right stakeholders. Further updates will follow as soon as I receive a response regarding their willingness to discuss these alternatives.

In my personal oppinion i dont like the FPS in general, but this is fantastic, the strategy, the aesthetics, the setting is all fantastic, was the perfect shooter for me... i dont want they come close, we can do something, please! :c
Please Consider the options the petition opener mention. I am to this day addicted to the game. (have been for nearly 2 yrs and will continue to be as long as the servers allow). I love the community and the game is polished and fun regardless what some others say. Please dont leave
If you take money you cant pull it.. if you pull it premature you ota refund. so either refund, or publish it all the way Or a thrid option Public domain it, keep the mercendise rights and it might just payoff and keep everyone happy.
I'm in shock that Nexon randomly announced the shutting down of this game because of some lame move on the part of the developers. But what I'm more shocked by is all the bad practices we see these days in gaming. I'm an older gaming, and never thought I would have seen things like: DLC, micro-transactions, and pay-to-win business models But worst of all: Games being shut down after people paid good money towards it. This should be illegal.
Save GITS! It was awesome to play while it lasted. Though it’s a terrible shame they plan on sunsetting it. What nexon did is unforgiveable because upon the release of the 2.0 update. They thought it’d be okay to shut a game down after many players spent real cash on it, in-game purchases and the DLCS along with it. There is talk about refunding but that won’t do good. We want this game back soon because it’s not only a FPS but it’s a game in connection with the GITs anime, even if some fans don’t think so. Just saying.

Would like to see this stay alive or released to the public domain for private servers and an open dev community, if further support is not an option
