Why do higher ups always want to show their superiority by taking away something that's helpful and positive for no other reason but because they can. The dog has already proved a positive for everyone involved with him [not the enforcers] so a liability isn't the issue....just power trips, as usual. Sounds like SOME people have chosen to expose their true dispositions & stomp their shoes, What comes off didn't come from Ivy!!

Ivy has been there for 2 years and has caused no problems. Why would you kick her out now, especially when she means so much to the students?? Shouldn't that be a positive thing?

Me and my Yellow Lab, Ginger, are a registered K9 Therapy team. I've seen first-hand the joy that these dogs bring to people. Our local K9 Therapy organization works with all of the colleges in our town during finals week to help de-stress the students. It is one of the most popular events on campus all year! Bring back Ivy, and you bring back love to the University!

Ivy is a Therapy dog, therefore should be allowed on campus. I see from the many comments on fB that she is loved and welcomed by students, adding to a more homelike and comfortable feeling to campus. Maybe you should add more dogs rather than ban the one and only.

If all is ok with Ivy, then what is the problem? There is none. SOunds like some one or certain people are jealous and or insecure because there is someone that is helping others without asking for attention....

Are you serious? You flip out over a dog on campus? YOu must have a Ph.D from Stupidity School, because that's what you are, and that is what this action is. Bring Ivy back!

I would have loved to have a therapy dog in school! I am an animal lover, and I truly believe they help reduce stress. I wish more places allowed therapy animals and/or provided them. Good Luck! I hope Ivy gets to go back!

If this dog has provided no harm, and has provided good, then what can be your objection? College is stressful - let the kids have a dog, in face, why don't all dorms have a dog? It's proven they lower blood pressure and those who grow up with dogs are more compassionate and confident. THINK OF YOUR STUDENTS - BE INNOVATIVE! Isn't that what a university is supposed to do???

Colleges should be quirky places that allow people to be just a bit different. Ivy should be allowed on campus because that's what makes campuses distinctive and charming.

I have a certified therapy dog. I bring him into work every other Friday. People look forward to the days that I bring him into work. He is their stress relief.

Why does having a dog equal non-professional? The human beings that live on campus consider the dorm their home, not a prison. In fact many prisons are realizing how important animal contact can be for people, can the university not extend the same privilege to the paying students that crimianals have?

Ivy should be allowed to stay. She is bringing joy and comfort to people and you never know what a person might be going through. Ivy is apart of the school and should still be apart of it. Sad day when people take away the very thing that brings joy to others. Education is more than learning from books.
