Progress and change are good things. Suggesting such changes do not equate to cyberbullying, as the UCWDC likes to think.

I have read the board first email/letter to Brian. It lacked a lot of critical information into what rules/policies he broke to get a lifetime banned. I would still like to know what rules he broke.

Why are people who give their opinions for improvement of participation being banned? They do such things in communist China & Russia

It saddens me to see what is happening and the shutting down of people expressing their thoughts and what they would like to see changed. Taking away freedom of speech just because you don't like what is being said is wrong. Abusing power to control is also wrong. The actions that were taken make it clear that things need to change with the board. They just proved Brian's points.

Constructive criticism shouldn't be taken personally by anyone. It is meant to be helpful. I believe Brian should be vindicated.

To ban someone for speaking out (honestly and kindly I might add) just shows how petty this organization is. Sad.

I agree the negative statements made by Brian did not constitute cyberbullying. I commented in one of the videos about my very positive interactions with Dave Getty and my support for him. People were free to make their own comment stating a different perspective from Brian.
If anyone felt someone was being unfairly attacked, to the point of being cyberbullied why didn't they publicly state so?Brian's response to me after my comment could not have been more respectful. There is a gaping wound in the soul of
UCWDC right now, and it needs to be healed. Based on the reaction of so many people. It appears that healing is going to require the reinstatement of any suspension. I loved being a part of this organization because it felt like a family. Please let's all act like responsible family members and heal this rift. Praying for peace and resolution.

UCWDC is out of line with this action and out of touch with contemporary dance culture. Brian has only tried to help by calling attention to issues and providing resources and insights. All of this for the greater good of the country dance community which he desperately wants to save. I stand with Brian✊
