When offering suggestions on how to move forward becomes cause for being kicked out, then there is an issue with the governing body, not with the people that are trying to forward ideas and observations. I cannot even believe this has happened to a valued member of the UCWDC society.

I haven't seen Brian's videos and would like to. Where can I find them? I posted a negative review of UCWDC Worlds 20+ years ago and was promptly "canceled" by UCWDC. Back then we were still mailing in registration forms and checks, and several event directors returned them unopened. One that was a big linedance-only event (in North Carolina) returned our registrations 2 years in a row. We haven't been back since. This ban is mothing new. Seeing it imposed against a Hall Of Famer is bizarre.

I may not be a competitive dancer but Brian welcomed me with open arms to his west coast swing studio in Louisville when I was in college. I still remember what he taught me and love dancing with my boyfriend whenever we get the chance. Free Brian! He’s a great person who is passionate about dance and eager to share his knowledge with others!

I support constructive feedback and agree that silencing dissenting views does nothing for the credibility of the established leaders.
