Wandsworth are currently not providing for all children who are entitled to free school meals. They are only providing for those with a social worker.

Rationing free school meals through social care is an unacceptable decision when the children we live side by side with in Wandsworth are hungry, especially in the extraordinary socioeconomic times in which we are living.

COVID on top of a decade of relative Benefit cuts has led to thousands of children living in poverty. It’s not right for them to go hungry.

No child or family should be suffering in a pandemic and especially in school holidays. It has to be awarded to families who are struggling and need provisions. Food banks are not going to cut it’s far too many!! Action needs to happen to make change.
