I never thought I'd live in a country where children go hungry. Face up to your responsibilities.

Don’t let children starve over greed for money that is not yours mps? You get lunch allowance but would deny others who actually need it

Alas the Wandsworth statement is fake news. £10k lifted from another budget is not a positive gesture. Scrooge would have been proud of it.

This is the sort of thing I'd like my money spent on - feeding children. Only a blue meanie wouldn't.

It's shocking that families have to rely on the kindness of local businesses for food for their children. Wandsworth Council should be ashamed.

It is a scandal that millions of people are going hungry and the council and government are in denial about this and continue to display their contempt & scorn towards the poorest and most vulnerable in our communities. Shame on Wandsworth Council . Shame on the government.

Every Conservative Councilor who has ever eaten a free sandwich in the Members' Room has no excuse not to provide free meals for kids at half term AND Christmas.

Now is NOT the time to put children into the middle of the financial debate. They have had enough damage. Make sure all children can grow healthy in body and mind by ensuring they can have food - life giving now and investing in their, so also our, futures.

It's shocking that there's a need to sign this petition. What could be a higher priority than feeding hungry children?

If the treasury can subsidise everyone, regardless of wealth, to eat out to help out, it can certainly support children from less wealthy families, to have one decent meal a day. And, maybe in the long term, pay people a decent enough wage, or supplement single parent families, so that we can negate the need for food banks, and the need to constantly lobby government over its responsibilities to curtail child poverty, not add to it.

Why not stop MPs meal expenses to provide additional funding for school meals.
