It takes a hundred or more years to grow trees the size of the ones that have been clear cut. We have to save what's left of our natural landscape before it's too late.

This is out of control! We don’t need nor want another gas station or McDonalds on every street corner. What about the wild animals that call those trees home? Where are the animals supposed to live? You are destroying their habitat! I know it’s difficult to understand but the people do not want more concrete. Stop cutting down all the trees! We kinda need them.

I am sickened every time I see land being destroyed. East Fort Worth is attractive BECAUSE of trees, and the land on east side is being destroyed at an alarming rate. Unfortunately the homes going up in place of the destroyed plant and animal habitat don’t even fit in nicely to the existing neighborhoods as they are all practically exactly alike and with no trees in the yard. I moved to east Fort Worth specifically because of the natural beauty, gorgeous old trees, and older homes. I wish I had enough money to buy up the land to preserve the natural habitat, but I don’t. Maybe the city leaders could remember that people are not the only inhabitants of Fort Worth, and the landscape is worth protecting for both animals and human residents of the city. I’d love to see the city purchase more of the land to preserve it.

When we moved to the area, it had horse farms and plenty of wooded areas. It was so quiet and peaceful. Now we have houses all over, the trees are rapidly going away, traffic is getting worse, and this is no longer an idyllic, peaceful, and quiet haven.

Construction companies can build around trees. Removing hundreds of trees to only replace them with two at each house is not enough. Also, you are removing the habitat for wild animals. They need a place to live as well.

We are fortunate to have a beautiful heavily treed area on the east side of Fort Worth. It is a shame to see nothing but low-end builders coming in to scrape it all away. There are plenty of old cow pastures around for them to plop their cracker boxes on.

Recently, builder destroyed a huge chunk of forest to built 300 houses. Lost of birds and other small animals. We began to see foxes in our backyard now.
