As an Actor just starting out I spend a good deal of money in other states to work then what I am being paid. With this in mind I have thought about moving from Florida several times because of this. Keep productions in Florida and you will keep Actors in Florida; keep Actors in Florida and you have more residents to contribute to local economies plus to grow tourism.

California is drying up. We need the indstry here. Perfect for filming.

Please bring this industry back to Florida it much needed for our growth and survival!

Dear Governor Scott and Florida Legislators: Please do everything possible to keep and grow the entertainment industry in Florida. Our children are earning college degrees in the arts and film and they need jobs and opportunities. Eliminating tax breaks would be short sighted. Thank you.

Bring job films to this Miami community, it will be more awesome not just for graduates but for everyone whos loves movies bring it to south florida!

The following statement displayed at the end of a film I saw several months ago: "The Making and authorized distribution of this film supported over 15,000 jobs and involved hundreds of thousands of work hours." I was surprised that just one movie required the support of over 15,000 people. Real movies, themed movies, have the ability to accomplish many things. They can stimulate our imaginations; they can increase our awareness of the world; they can show how beautiful the world can be and inspire us to be better and they can show the world what it can be through unity. These themes wouldn't be possible if it wasn't for thousands of people working together. This petition is not just about helping actors, directors, producers or anybody in the entertainment industry; it’s about the potential it has to help everyone in Florida.

We need more work

This would be great for the industry and for the state. This is a no brainer. Make it happen.

As a frequent visitor of Florida, I fully believe that this beautiful state deserves to be home to a thriving entertainment industry where opportunities for individuals in the arts can become a possibility. I feel given the wealth of talent in the state along with the beautiful and cultural landscapes, the legislators of Florida should strongly consider including the entertainment industry as part of their special session. In doing so, the movement could lead to an increase in jobs and as such would positively correlate to an increase in economic growth. I feel that this would a tremendous step forward for the state and the industry. Thank you.
