Save the Entertainment Industry in Special Session

Many of my students could find work in Florida in the film industry with tax credit to put us on level ground with Louisiana,Georgia, etc. Please give this bill a chance.

Please bring this to the discussion. Creativity has reached new heights and the youth are demanding opportunities!

Florida is my home and I love film making. I love making art for all my friends and family to see. I don't think it is fare that students like me have to choose to move away from home just to make their careers in film, when we could just bring their career opportunities to them. This vote is about more than just making money through the industry. It is about giving hardworking Americans the opportunity to make beautiful art to inspire others and entertain people who are less fortunate than us.

Florida is one of the fastest growing states in the United States. It is a special state and we need to grow the film and television industry or we will just lose it to another state. We need your support,. Thank you.

Passing a film incentive is critical to our success as a business. We have shown as a industry the positive return on investment.

When I first moved to Florida back in 1996 I met many wonderful and professional members of the film community working here in the State of Florida. I still meet them and stay in contact with them, but unfortunately, most have either moved to Louisiana or Georgia due to where the work went. It's also where our recent graduates of our respective State Schools venture for work. Sure would be nice to keep them home, here in the great State of Florida!

This movement will not only bring more movies to Florida which will increase income to local business, motels, resturants, and so much more, not only today but in the future when tourist and movie fans alike come to see where this scene was shoot in a particular movie. In this day and age of smart phones and instagram/facebook/twitter this will be non stop photo facebook twitter and all other destination.

The entertainment industry needs your support.

Florida has a one time opportunity to become a major film hub. Please don't deprive Floridians from it.

It is time to have Florida come back and revive the film & Digital media industry.
