Save the Entertainment Industry in Special Session

Florida has so much potencial for the industry and is full of amazings talents !!

Please help bring film back into Florida. I have been a working actor for almost 20 years and struggle because we have so few opportunities. I hate the thought of moving to Georgia, but without opportunities here it is something that I, unfortunately, have to consider. Please help! Melissa

we need film in Florida

I moved from New Mexico, where the film business is booming! We need to follow their lead, there are so many talented, people in FL, and then revenue brought in by the film industry, trickles down to the smallest of business owners. This is a win-win situation, an incentive for projects and major films to come back to Florida should be passed ASAP. Some legislators are only looking at $ Number and saying it isn't going to make the state any money – they need to look at the whole picture!!

I was born in Florida, I still make my home in Florida but I have to work elsewhere. I am a production designer and art director for film and television. I have not been home in four years!

This is a very important industry for Florida and the 100,000 Floridians working in the industry. All of these employees and the 16,000 related companies contribute to the health of a thriving economy, as well as paying taxes that contribute to the bottom line for Florida.

We will be dead as a film production state for at least one more year if you don't put forward the tax credits. We cannot compete for film from any budget from studios and independents with the deals offered by Louisiana, Georgia, North Carolina, and the Provinces of Canada. Please help us back to our number three status among the states for film production.

I support my family soley on revenue from my career in the television and film industry. I'd like to stay in Florida rather than move to Georgia where there is currently more work and infrastructure due to incentives. Thank-you, Benjamin Lowell

its really sad that film families have to go through this just to be able to work and live in the same state, be able to see their family every night and not worry if they'll be able to take care of them.

making my living as a Camera Assistant on TV Shows, Commercials, and Short Films for over 24 years. Ten+ of those have been in Central Florida. I'd love to stay around.
