YES, the number of jobs created by Film and the business brought to existing services is a boost to local communities wherever the production sets up shop!

The Film TV and digital Media industry investment program is vital to the survival of our business in the state of Florida. Many companies rely on that business to stay alive. Not supporting this bill could mean the end of not only the film and TV industry but all the supporting businesses supporting it. Such as, restaurants, hotels, technical support companies, etc. Please put this bill in the agenda and vote yes.

If this doesn't pass, I have already looked into moving to Atlanta to be able to work. One more bites the dust.

As a member of the industry, I have seen many of my colleagues move out of the state for employment opportunities in states where these incentives have remained for the film industry. Please consider supporting incentives in Florida so we can keep our best talent and ample employment opportunities here at home. Thank you.

I hate the fact that tax credits for businesses were even offered to begin with, but they were, and people and businesses buy dollars so states have to keep competing to bring jobs and additional revenue into the states. Ohio tax credits for the film industry brought many jobs and additional revenue into the state, and I worked there as an actor. Here in Florida, I dont work because the film industry takes their jobs and money to other states that give them a tax credit. I have been some what depressed since I moved here to Florida because of the lack of work here for union actors. My wife loves it here in Florida, and I still want to work as a full time actor as I did in Ohio before we moved here two years ago. Please include a tax credit for film makers to bring their stimulus to the Florida economy. Dont give the house away like Michigan and other states did, but tax credits work.

I lived in California from 2/75 until 10/14 . I saw first hand how the lack of tax breaks and incentives DROVE FILM MAKERS OUT OF THE STATE

I have been a casting director in Fl . since 1980 This is the worst season that I have ever had .My clients are going to Louisiana and Georgia and most likely will not come back till a tax incentive is re-instated......I also teach acting and my students are working in both the above named states.......Is a clean industry so unimportant to the state and very important to the other states.....We ask for NO roads or schools etc We just want to work and contributate to the econemy of our state.....,I pay taxes on my home as well as my office and if this continues I have no idea how I will survive

Florida needs to not only keep jobs here but foster the development of new jobs, new projects. The Entertainment Industry attracts tourism and creative professionals which will also foster the development of youths interested in the profession by giving them opportunities right here in Florida and not in Georgia or NY or LA!
