The average desired room temperature is 21-24 degrees Celsius. The Ewha dormitory air conditioning is set to 28 degrees Celsius, significantly higher.
Further intensifying the room temperature issue is the mosquito situation. Students are forced to keep their doors and windows open during the night to try to lower the room temperature, but, despite screens put in place, are constantly being bit by mosquitoes. *Some students have experienced particularly severe allergic reactions
We are requesting the the Ewha Dormitory Office allow the air conditioning to be set to a lower temperature. Other dormitories such as at Yonsei University are able to keep their air conditioning on all day.

I too suffer from severe mosquito allergies that cause my bites to swell to monstrous sizes requiring me to take oral medication and use medicated ointment.

I got more than 7 mosquito bites because I left a window open in my room at night. I received a lotion for itchiness of the bites from the health care center today, but it did not work for me at all. The dormitory office should change the setting of the air conditioning temperature right away seriously, or provide us effective medicines for the bites.
