As I requested when I called the Georgina school board, Ms Elgie must resign as she clearly does not uphold the values of a multicultural school board, nor set a good example for its students.

There are lines that can't be crossed. Being a racist is one of them. Resign or be fired. There is no alternative.

The only thing she's apologizing for is failing to hide her racism.

How it is possible that this woman still has her job? An apology is a good first step, but not enough.

Absolutely shameful to keep Nancy, a person hurling slurs, employed. Very telling of her deeper biases and bigotry when she will PUBLICLY and BOLDLY use such violent language at board meetings. The entitlement and aggression is truly shocking. To keep her in her role represents the values--or lack thereof--of the school board. Stand up for your community.

There are some mistakes that an apology can't fully address.
Her resignation is needed.

Clearly this woman was raised in an era where this type of behaviour was common place, but this is not 1950. Resign and exit your role with some sort of integrity while you still have some left.

She can not fairly represent all students and parents with such a racist view. Shame if she is not removed.

A petition should not be necessary, she needs to do the right thing and step down right away
