Ms. Elgie made a racist comment, and given her age, she lacks the mental capacity to hold any position of authority. She should resign immediately.

She needs to go and if she can't be fired then maybe the whole system of how trustees are appointed needs reconsideration. Her continued presence at the YDSB is a blemish on the already tarnished reputation of the school board. Shame.

With this petition I hope to see a real change within our education system that doesn't wait upon signatures or petitions to remove racialist actions/individuals but is proactive and responsible to respond appropriately ahead of any petition. We owe our children better.

Disgusting that I have to sign a petition for what should have already been done. Men who host radio shows, sports teams etc have lost their jobs for said behaviour. What makes her so special? Bye Felicia ... Seriously.
