Call for Resignation of YRDSB Trustee Nancy Elgie for Calling a Black Parent "Nigger"

Totally inappropriate.

Really? This woman's expressions of hate show her lack of education and ignorance. How is this woman still working with children and parents of color? How has she not been fired from her position? This is a complete disgrace. Remove her immediately.

Shocked that we still have to be signing petitions like this.

Use of this word is hate speech and represents some of the most reprehensible treatment of a group of people based only on the melanin content of their skin. Failing to act and fire this woman is tantamount to supporting her actions.

Disgusting.

Zero tolerance for this. No child's education should be influenced by such a disrespectful person. And the school board should make an example of her.

There is no excuse for this.

There has to be accountability for hate speech for appointed positions in the community.

This should be a no brainer... racist attitudes have no place in our schools and public service. Immediate resignation is required.

Disgusting behaviour from anyone, let alone an elected official. To further blame this behaviour on a brain injury does a disservice to those that have suffered these injuries and have recovered without marginalizing an entire community.
