Please ban fires! The risk is too high and resources are spread too thin.

GIven the extreme fire season and loss we are experiencing in California, it is critical that all local agencies take steps to mitigate the risk of wildfires. Banning the use of charcoal grills is a simple and effective step that many agencies have already taken. I urge El Dorado county to do the same.

Very dangerous fire season. No good reason to allow open fires until November when rains come

Hi all, Perhaps this is a good year to institute an open fire ban? When half the county has burned? Thank you!

It is insane to not have a ban on all burning in El Dorado County now

My husband and I have owned our home in the Coloma Lotus Valley since 1996. We are appalled at the careless behavior around fire by visitors to our valley. Please help us protect our homes and green spaces by banning open fires in El Dorado County including "warming fires" on private property.

Please do what is needed to protect our county! The River Fire was started by someone having open fire in a campground. Don't let it happen here.

I am a regular visitor to the Coloma valley and tbe South Fork American river corridor. As a volunteer Defensible Space Advisor for fire in Nevada County, I am amazed there is no open fire ban in El Dorado County during this season of very low humidity, high temperatures and red flag warnings. Please enact the provisions for a ban asap.

PLEASE ban fires in El Dorado County. We live in a heavily forested area and fire danger is extremely high. There is NO need to have campfires, BBQ, or any open flame in the middle if the hot California summers and, as you know, the entire state is in danger of burning down. To continue to allow open fire/flame of any kind in El Dorado County borders on the insane.

Please take immediate action to ban open fires in El Dorado county. The current situation only miles away should be evidence enough for the necessity of such a ban. Go with common sense on this one, for the good of all of our family and friends across the area.

I have family living in Lotus and am concerned for their safety, as well as the safety of their neighbors and all the selfless firefighters risking their lives to contain the spread of fires. It is insane not to do everything we can as a community to assist in this effort.

please stop open fires in all parks as it is obvious that people do not care about guarding the environment.
