Please ban ALL open fires on public and private land until fire season has ended. Let's preserve what remains of our trees, vegetation and property during this tragic time. Thank you.

I live in Colorado, but do enjoy coming to California to enjoy the diverse environment and all of the recreational activities available. Please take this action to protect wildlands, homes, and the environment from careless acts that cause such destruction. By the way, I woke up again this morning, 1,000 miles away, with smoke and particulates that are coming from the current megafires....

Please ban open fires. We’ve lost enough of lives and forest cover to the forest fires!!

To safeguard the beauty and remaining wild treasures of El Dorado County, the EDCBOS must immediately implement a ban on all open fires and charcoal grills for the duration of the current and future fire seasons. As well, in the interests of sustaining our county's economic vitality, the BOS must activate the petition's forward-looking measures addressing the climate reality that has clearly arrived.

Stop the open fires. My hometown is ruined because of careless persons visiting our areas.

I can't believe we need to sign a petition. The wildfires affect every Californian and other states as well. Eliminating open fires and campfires (and fireworks too) is blazingly obvious. Accompanied by seriously massive fines for those who don't comply. What is everyone waiting for????

I grew up in el dorado county and am devastated on the current fire conditions we are experiencing. Please ban open fires immediately to help mitigate our current conditions as it is currently unsafe. As some one who regularly recreates in the area, this important to save what is currently standing against the CalDor fire. All campsites/recreation areas I have visited outside el dorado county have all banned open fires. We need to step up and do what is safe for our county this year and every year moving forward to help prevent wildfires such as the CalDor.

I’ve been working in disaster relief with the United Methodist Church through this early fire season. The impacts of these fires go beyond comprehension. There is no reason to allow open fires during these unprecedented, dangerous conditions. I fully support a ban on open fires.

Please take the very easy step of banning open fires for the rest of the year. There is too much dry fuel in the surrounding hills that can ignite with the slightest breeze or moment of inattention. I love to enjoy the hills, rivers, and valleys of El Dorado County and don’t want to see more of it burnt to the ground. This is one little sacrifice people can make this year to protect our beautiful environment. Thank you very much, Mike Yackey
