I live and own my home in El Dorado County and would greatly appreciate keeping our town and homes safe from accidents and stupidity, rather residents or tourists!!!

I grew up in El Dorado county. My mothers home is still there. It was devastating to see so many friends and neighbors and family members have their lives uprooted from a fire that was completely preventable. The reality is that California is extremely dry and needs to take more extensive steps to prevent wildfires from destroying lives as they have so many times in recent years

This is just common sense.

I have been very concerned seeing as my neighbors have been barbecuing since the first week of this fire. It makes me very uneasy due to us and almost everyone in this county living surrounded by trees. I feel that due to Caldor their should at least be a temporary ban on any type of fires , especially barbequeing on private property where other homes and structures can be impacted.

Please protect el dorado county and every thing that exists in it from fire. Our homes, local businesses, schools, utilities infrastructure, the landscape, wildlife, etc. all have such high value for any belief system. Living without open fires for the rest of fire season is short term and easy. Dealing with a fire that rips through our community is long term and devastating. Thank you!

Please do not let any fires for any purpose be used until we are out of the fires seson.

Given the seriousness of this year's fire season, it seems unconscionable to allow open fires in the county. The Caldor fire clearly illustrates how a seemingly small fire can quickly ravage our county.

Owner of property in Tahoe City. Open fires and BBQ’s should be banned from April to November every year!! Public and private.

It makes common sense to Ban All Fires for Cooking out of doors in California. Partying around Bon Fires when people have kitchens at home is insane! FD says "cooking fires are allowed" per CA law.

Conditions are far too dangerous to allow any form of fire.
