Have them go door to door and ask everyone in Dryden if they want to pay higher taxes!! They will be surprised to find out that we all feel we are over taxed as it is. Just goes to show that they are very poor at managing other people's money. Bet they don't offer more money when they are paying for something out of their pocket!!

We are retired and moved out of double digit tax increases in NJ to find are selves in the same boat up here. I thought there was a cap on tax increases

Why are we even talking about this? There is no sufficient reason to raise our taxes and it's time you stopped taxing us into poverty!

Town government will need to find a way to reduce spending and keep any tax increases on par with the rate of inflation or cost of living.

My middle class family moved to this area of the county for it's affordability compared to Ithaca, raising taxes will render it unaffordable and we may have to consider selling and moving

The Town of Dryden has some serious issues. What was once a beautiful farm town, has become a town and village that I don't want to raise my children in. And a double digit property tax increase to boot...no thanks.

Having been retired for fifteen years now and depending on social security for the bulk of my income, I have seen my savings stagnate because of low interest rates, my medicare deduction increased again and again, my social security COLA withheld at least three times, and the expenses experienced most by senior citizens have steadily increased. Another increase in local taxes is evidence that our Town Board members have little interest in representing all of the citizens of Dryden.

In a year where cost of living has been stagnant, and social benefits will not increase in 2016, how can you possibly justify a double digit increase in town taxes????????
