My wife and I have 3 grandchildren who attend Del Obispo Elementary school currently and another who will be hopefully starting next fall. We are very concerned and worried about the possible closure of Del Obispo Elementary School.

The only way students would be able to attend the charter, if our school site is chosen, is through the charter's current "raffle" system. There would be no guaranty. The reason Del Obispo is being considered for the possible charter location is low enrollment projections. More than likely, Del Obispo students would be transitioned to RH Dana Elementary, not Kinoshita.

The closer of our beloved school will bring a huge burden to our community! We need our school for all those families who walk their kids to school and have no car. We are a community blessed with a boys and girls club, a YMCA, and a Soccer Field next to our school. The Junior high is also conveniently located next door to ease the burdens on those who have no car. PLEASE DON'T TAKE OUR SCHOOL!

God is love God is Mercy who ever want to close the school and leave those student in the limbo do not have Jesus in he or her heart prayers brake chain and enemy attacks keep that in mind

Our family has had great experiences and memories at Del Obispo. We have children in 1st and 5th grade and would be heartbroken to see our school close down. Del Obispo is a very family-friendly oriented school and it would be a shame to break up the special bonds we have created over the years.

I grew up in Dana Point, attended Del Obispo from k-5 (as well as my older brother). I went on to college, obtained my degree and my teaching credentials, and had the pleasure of returning to this school as a substitute teacher. It would be heartbreaking to see it change.

Del Obispo and Marco work great together! There are so many volunteer opportunities for Marco kids and the Del Obispo kids benefit from more aids in class too.
