Knowing the issues regarding the consideration of closing this school causes me to wonder how deeply was this idea of change researched? What is going on in the minds of those who brought this unfathomable item to the "table?" And, are they even in touch with what tremendous positive things that are taking place at this school. That is, continued growth in student population, higher quality of education and more parent involvement in their children's education.
The above mentioned, is just a small part of why it is so wrong to close this school. There are just too many positive things going on due to the presence of Del Obispo. These great things ripple out to the surrounding communities, bringing people together, raising the bar for education, and continuing to value each student, as well as their family members.
Let's keep a good thing going, as there is no need to change what is working so well!

i went to Del Obispo for 3 years. I met my best friend there. This school was the best to me. I had the best 3 years there! I wouldn't want my childhood school be closed

My son attends 3rd grade. Fantastic school that strives for excellence, growth, development, and for
the children to achieve greatness. Very well-run, caring staff, educated teachers, loyal and dedicated principal. Please keep Del Obispo. The children need to stay at this great school.

Traffic in our local neighborhood is already bad dealing with the three schools in that area. Adding more incoming and requiring the kids who live in surrounding areas to travel out to another school will only futher the problem and congestion.
