Del Obispo families are a tight community whose kids easily transition to next door neighbor Marco Forster Middle School. Del Obispo needs to be protected and continue its legacy of a rich learning environment and experience for our local children.

I was a student at both these schools and had lived across the street in the neighborhood of harbor lane. I walked to school everyday and was able to grow up with the same friends and create fond memories. This was an experience not many kids can say they had. It was a treat to know that your goal in elementary school was the middle school right next door. And to be able to know one day that will be me.

As an alumni of the school I want to see it stay open. I use to walk home from Marco Forester and pick up my younger brother at Del Obispo on the way home.

This is so disheartening! Del obispo elementary school is home to so many amazing students, teachers, and families that have put so much of their time and hearts into this school. It would be a tremendous loss to this community if this were to happen. I have taught at del obispo for 15 years ( I have worked at many other schools as well), and I have never felt from a community such pride in a school and a sense of family as I have with these students, teachers and parents. Please help save our school!
