Utilizing this area to develop more of Waikīkī is a blatant reminder of what is happening all over this island . Oʻahu does not need more development, it needs to preserve what little open space there is left; especially in areas that temporarily house and accommodate tourist. They come here to experience "Hawaiʻi", more and more of which is being covered in cement daily.
This volleyball court is one of the few places in Waikīkī that actually accommodate to locals and community members as well, not just tourist. Please reconsider using this space.

There are plenty of other spaces near by to keep construction equipment that would not impact the local players and vacationing people that want the Hawaii experience with a great group of people.

Please don't close down these volleyball courts! Beach VB was one of the most watched sports during the Olympics. We are working to grow the game, there are great players coming out of Hawaii, and closing courts would be devestating.
