I have heard such positive results from other parents whose students attend dual language programs in Austin and Sunset Valley.

We are doing a disservice to our children to not teach them a second language during elementary. By the time they reach high school, it is almost too late. DISD should have a dual language program.

Learning more than one language helps a child for future worldwide endeavors and has shown to result in increased learning in other subjects

There is a huge need and desire for this, as evidenced by the growing enrollment in immersion preschools. To be able to continue the communication skills our very young children are practicing from these programs is SO IMPORTANT! Please!

This only makes sense for the future of our society and to the competitiveness of Dripping Springs Public Schools versus private school options.

I learned Spanish finally as an adult because I lived abroad for several years. Wish I would have had the opportunity in school at a much younger age. I fully support this and feel that it’s very beneficial for our children’s future.

It would be greatvif you can add that DL program helps the children’s brain develop better, smarter. https://www.npr.org/sections/ed/2016/11/29/497943749/6-potential-brain-benefits-of-bilingual-education

My daughter attended a Spanish immersion school for 6 years. Learning a second language at such a young age has helped her in many other aspects of learning as well.

YES! We need our children to be exposed to languages from an early age -- it opens multiple pathways to learning other languages and an appreciation for other cultures.
