The condition of the track is dangerous. I cannot believe it has not been addressed yet. The safety and health of our students should be a priority, and this falls under that category.

It is downright disrespectful to these athletes and coaches to allow these facilities to reach the conditions they have. This is one of DHS’s most successful programs and as the continue to excel, the city has sat back and taken advantage

Keep the legacy going!! Fund a new track for DHS ASAP. As an alumni and parent of 2 Xc/track athletes it’s a shame not resolve this issue immediately

It is disgraceful that the O'Grady relays will not be held at DHS this year because of an unsafe track. When you have no choice but to change the location of a Prideful HOMETOWN Tradition built on Honor, there is no question that a track is urgently needed. We all ask that you please make it happen.

Danbury high school is one of the largest schools in Danbury and should be provided and adequate track for track and field. The school has provided great athletes and funding should be provided

Danbury track has repeatedly been one of the best teams in New England and it deserves to be treated as such.

My kids have used this track for the Danbuty Flyers for years and it's been in such sad shape we've had to limit lanes that the athletes could use some days. It's sad that such a large district with championship track & field teams won't invest in the safety of the athletes. I can only image how much potential revenue and name recognition has been lost over the years because the facility could not be used for events due to unsatisfactory track conditions.

Danbury High has one of the top track teams in the state as well as all of New England. It is extremely fortunate to have the best and most well respected coach, Robert Murray, who is dedicated to all his athletes. As a Danbury Educator, city taxpayer, and parent of two DHS alumni (one of which was a track athlete), I fully support the much needed renovations to the track and hope the City Council and Danbury Board of Education consider this request to improve the high school’s facilities that will benefit our city.
