Support New Danbury High School Track

This tracked needs to be redone. The mayor has said several times that it would be fixed after graduation or before the school year starts and it hasn’t been done.

My granddaughter was a track team member along with her friends and we want to continue to see our kids be able to run there.

The Danbury track is a staple in the community, however it has received wear and tea over the past few years, it is about time the track is rebuilt.

This is a project that needs to be done for the benefit of our students. In addition, the track is also used by the community at large. This is a priority project.

A danger to athletes – so much so that meets can no longer be held on it. A danger to city residents who use it regularly. Almost 10 years past its expected safe, useful life span. All this at the sole public high school in Danbury – with 3,000-3,500 students, the largest in the state, most of whom will, at some point, use the track. What else need be said? Time to replace it.

DHS is committed to its students. Please consider this petition!

For one of the best track team in the state they need a track to practice and help raise money by having home meets. As a former student and track member of DHS I am ashamed. It is getting as bad as when you had the black rock track I ran on in 2000. Not a good look

This should have been part of the "90 million" dollar expansion to the new freshman wing. Shameful misappropriation of tax dollars.

Shame and an embarrassment to the community

The replacement of our track is long overdue. Our student athletes deserve a safe environment now!

Would love to see a new track at DHS. Long over due! Please put our tax dollars to work!

My child just started and DHS and I was quite surprised at how bad our track is but our track team is one of the best. There are large gaping holes in it. Dangerous

All student athletes should have the support of their community to ensure the very basic foundation of adequate facilities - a field and a track - ancient traditions. the least we can do to perpetuate growth alog with nostalgia

The track program is continuously the most winning sport at DHS for decades, give these hard working athletes the tools necessary to continue greatness.
