Disney Cruise Line's New Carry On Alcohol Policy - Remove the policy or add liquor and grandfather in PIF customers! #DCLprohibitiongate2015

I wish the policy allowed liquor for non beer or wine drinkers. Some adults need to spend time in their cabins with napping/sleeping children. We can't all hang in the clubs in the evenings. Some of the kids need to go to bed instead of hanging in the bars. This is just another example of why this long time Disney lover is becoming disenchanted.

I bought the cruise with the understanding I cooks bring it on. After I pay you change the rules?

Please grand father us in. We paid thousands extra for the Disney experience could have paid less to go on a cruise that would let me drink as much as I want for a nominal fee. This isn't fair to those that booked under the impression we can do something we would like to do

Share the petition!! Most people still don't know about this policy or that there is a petition for it! We were looking forward to relaxing in our room with a mixed drink without being singled out and having to walk to the bar in shame because we are in the group that can't carry on our drink of choice like others. I don't want beer or wine. A small bottle of rum would be nice. This is the dumbest policy ever! And I believe that this is just your prelude to the real change that is coming - NO ALCOHOL PERIOD TO BE CARRIED ON!

Agree with Melanie Conley on this! Haven't passed the PIF date yet, and seriously reconsidering. The loss of the Character signatures and the change in alcohol policy will be the reason if I cancel my upcoming cruise. I was going to do this for my grand daughter's birthday, but since it was to be a surprise, she won't be disappointed if it's not Disney.

This is the second time DCL has changed a policy right before my family has cruised, with no grandfathering allowed for those already in the penalty period of their reservation. The magic is definitely losing it's lustre. Can't do anything about this cruise but will be booking elsewhere next time.

If DCL is going to lower their policy to be in line with other cruise lines then DCL can lower cruise prices to be in line and start the new pricing at the same time as the new alcohol policy. It can then refund all PIF and anyone already booked.

Please remove this policy!

We are not big drinkers. But I am beginning to feel that Disney Cruise Line is trying to be like the average cruise line by reducing their amenities. A few weeks ago they eliminated the item drop off for character signature, now this. Disney can't continue to charge above average rates and reduce their amenities. I am losing the feeling of wanting to cruise Disney over others, as I lose these perks. Especially since paid in full dates have passed. Feeling a little ripped off.

This change has forced our hand. After doing Disney cruises the past 5 years we are looking to book with another cruise line. As a parent of 4 children, we spend all day doing the kids stuff. At the end of the night to was nice to unwind in the room with a few beers or some crown and cokes. The Disney advantage just shrunk.

While I did receive a personal phone call I still feel strongly that DCL needs to include limited alcohol. I am handicapped and enjoyed a cocktail which resting in cabin. Also allergic to sulfite so can't drink wine. Please reconsider limited distiller liquor

We don't drink a lot but we do like a drink in our stateroom at night on the balcony watching the water. On the longer cruises like the TA that would be a problem. I like the way it is now.

Think this should be started maybe a year from now if they insist on doing it. Should not be sprung on people who have already booked

Apparently Disney has gone from wanting to be the industry leader in customer service to being just one of the pack. It's not going to be difficult to walk away if service keeps changing.

Be fair! If DCL feels they must implement this policy it should be done for cruises that have not already been booked. Not fair at all to the consumer!

Why change for such a small benefit.

The capability to bring a bottle of Ameretto on board is one of the reasons I booked Disney. I'm not a heavy drinker, but like to sit on my balcony at night with my kindle and sip a drink. Don't want to have to keep wandering to a bar to order one.

Very disappointing to be just like the other cruiseline policies. Some people can't drink beer or wine. #RIPDisneyDifference

I don't have a problem with Disney's decision to change their alcohol policy. I have a problem with the way it was implemented. By not grandfathering in those who had already paid in full, or as in my case, purchased nonrefundable tickets and shore rooms, is tantamount to stealing from guests. Why not implement the new policy on the 2017 bookings? Or at least offer some sort of compensation (e.g., on-board credit) to those individuals who had already committed to a Disney vacation which they had understood to include low cost drinks? It's very clear from the lack of a formal annoucement, the hiding of the new policy at the bottom of recent guest communication emails, and the terrible responses received by those who have complained, that DCL wants to hide this change in policy, and hide its head in the sand, until all the complainers just go away. This is poor customer service, and NOT in line with Disney's general guest satisfaction policies. I am disappointed in the way DCL has reacted, and I will not be sailing with them again,
