Please consider keeping this locomotive in Fort Erie and allowing the Niagara Railroad Museum to be it's custodian.

Steam locomotive 6218 should be given to the railroad museum in Fort Erie. That group is quite capable of restoring this locomotive and protecting it from the elements. Thank you!

I am a life long resident of Etobicoke, but I waspresent when the CN Rail presented engine 6218 to Fort Erie for preservation and display. My twin brother and I spent our career working for CN in the Toronto area, but Fort Erie is our parents home town. Throughout my career I have been a volunteer on steam locomotive restoration and other museums and I believe the Niagara Railway Museum is the best place for volunteers to preserve and display 6218.

For shame the thought of chopping up another engine, when so many were cut up during the switch.
Pull this one into a museum where she can be taken better care of.

The 6219 is an important piece of the railway heritage of Southern Ontario and needs to stay in Fort Erie and display at the Niagara Railway Museum.

Indoor display is an absolute must. The 6218 has a special place in the hearts of thousands of rail enthusiasts in Canada and the United States. She must be accorded the proper respect that she so rightly deserves.

NRM should be the next home of 6218. It would provide weather protection and allow for proper cosmetic restoration and preservation.

I visited 6218 in Fort Erie a couple of years ago and was saddened by the deterioration of this locomotive. It needs to be cosmetically restored and put under cover.
