This old train has been in my life since I was just a little one .. this train gave my brother hope that one day he will be driving trains, and because of this train my brother now provides for not only his wife but also his little girl by driving trains and working his dream job with CN rail.. this train belongs to fort erie where it has value and memories , where it can create more dreams and memories !

6218 was a gift to Fort Erie. Why not keep it in Fort Erie at a location that recognizes the historical significance of this locomotive.

I am from Quebec and the 6218 has a place in this museum not in Alberta

I think Niagara Railway Museum is an excellent choice.

Great idea to move 6218 and spruce her up at the Niagara Railway Museum. Much easier to do indoors and will last forever.

I know that this locomotive was used the steam program run by the Canadian National Railway. A few years ago 6167, another steam locomotive to run in the program was cosmetically restored and it turned out nice. If 6167 deserves to be made as good as new. Why not 6218.

While it’s great they were saved from the scrapers torch in the late 50s, it’s heartbreaking to see these great machines suffer the elements of nature.

Richard, the 6218 has been sitting outdoors at the FERM since 1974. The Niagara Railway Museum's proposal is to move her indoors to prevent further deterioration due to exposure to the elements

It should go to the Fort Erie Railway Museum. Its an important piece of Railroad History. I road several steam excursions behind this locomotive.

This locomotive deserves a new home, indoors, in the Niagara region where it will be cared for!

I was fortunate to have ridden behind 6218 twice. We owe it to the next generations to preserve this piece of Canadian railway history.

An important part of both Fort Erie and Western New York history. Keep it in Fort Erie. Cover it!

I was fortunate to see CNR 6218 run in the late 60's and would love to see her restored at least cosmetically to those glory days.
