I think it would be a shame for all the money and hard work spent years ago to get 6218 here would all be thrown away. Plus it is a great piece of local history to keep around.

It's a shame that when a piece of memorabilia such as this locomotive is made available, more of an effort isn't made to protect it. Shame on those involved... Probably too late now...

It makes a lot more sense to put the locomotive at the railway museum where it can be stored indoors.
There it would be sheltered from the elements, protected better from vandals and looked after by people that care and respect the 6218 for the history it brings to the committee.

My father worked as motive power foreman for CN and he worked on steam engines in Armstrong, Nakina and Hornepayne until they were retired from service.
