Proposal to Ban Gas-Powered Leaf Blowers in the City of Coral Gables Florida

Absolutely sick of the relentless onslaught of noise every day from leaf blowers. Noise pollution is a serious issue. It elevates stress and disrupts nature (not that there is any left here). Moving leaves also disrupts the lifecycle of insects that rely on them. I either have to go outside very early or after dark to avoid leaf blowers. On top of that we have to breathe in exhaust and whatever dust they kick up. I need to cross the street or go around the block entirely to avoid the dust when I see them. It would be nice to avoid the use of all leaf blowers (gas & electric) but at least get rid of the gas ones first.

We live on “no exit” street in Coral Gables, the gas leaf blowers are so noisy, seems to start the minute they stop @ properties until they leave, we cannot enjoy outside to relax before dinner or eat outside due to the noise or pollution. I resent City is allowing these commercial Gardners using their lawn equipment any time, everyday! We pay hefty taxes on property, but not allowed to use @ our discretion!!

My neighbors on 3 sides have their landscapers every week and noise of gas blowers are feet away. They are so loud can be heard indoors.

Please do the same in the city of Miami.

Leaf blowers are a real noice pollution, every day at any time; the weekend, I’m waked up at 8am by leaf blowers! STOP IT!

The use of these noisy leaf blowers disturb the peace and beauty of our city. There are alternatives to that and everyone should use them

I believe all residents and businesses should be restricted from using gas powered leaf blowers with a decibel range beyond 50 db.

I don't understand how we are in this point in the first place. How someone can think that this horrible everyday all the time noise contamination is a good idea?

I think the scientific data is in and it goes against gas powered leaf blowers (and other lawn equipment). We are late to the game of Save Mother Earth. But can we at least agree better late than never?

Gas Powered leaf blowers generate excessive and unnecessary noise pollution and air pollution.

We have children going to school from house that can’t hear because of this noise.
