Why should anyone be entitled to 2 roads in front of there house??? This would complete a bike path around grand island.

Get rid of that road! Not needed! Build the bike/walk path and people will come and enjoy!

Let's get the plan that is best for GI, rather than what NY State wants.

I would love to be able to safely bike with my family along the water. Why is the board turning down an opportunity to connect buffalo to Niagara Falls? Shame on the board for not realizing the potential of the opportunity the state is giving GI.

Let's allow all of Grand Islanders to fully enjoy the waterfront and make better use out of an unnecessary parkway.

The only thing the board voted on was not closing the parkway. Nothing to do with the bikepath. Just no closing of the park
way. Be sure thats clear. Doesnt seem transparent in this petition. The supervisor has blocked anyone in opposition of his plan, making it seen like all are in agreement with his plan. Many disagree.

Absolutely support the bike path along the river. I grew up on GI and there was never a safe way to ride your bike from the north end to south end (just to hang with friends). Always had to take Baseline with plenty of traffic and inconsistent shoulders. Give our children a safe way to travel!

I enjoy riding by bike around the island, yet a lot of roads are not very safe due to limited space.

Would you rather be a town on way to Niagara Falls. Or a town pple stop at and then go to Niagara Falls?

I think a bike path is a wonderful alternative to the infrequently used and ill kept parkway.

I live on West River Road. Build the recreational path using the present West River Parkway, make the West River Service Road safer, beautify our environment, (it is my understanding that the bank will be made more beautiful by removing the overgrowth that has overtaken the parkway over the years), make it accessible for everyone, not just the privileged few. Actually, since the state owns it anyway, it is not "ours", i.e., West River Road homeowners, to claim. It will help the environment, the economy, and the view shed. The other path they are talking about will require guard rails to keep the cars and non-motorized vehicles apart, and those guard rails will be unsightly, to say the least. Traffic can be directed over GI Blvd. Leave the service road for the people on West River. It doesn't have to be anything but a local road.

As a runner and biker, I would enjoy the safety for myself and all other runners and bikers.
