I bicycle daily using the West River Rd. Safety is always a concern.More bikers would use a bike path just in the SAFTY aspect. Build the BIKE PATH.

If the option is the state closes it completely or allows it to continue to fall into disrepair, or turns into bike path - I vote for bike path!!

As a resident of 47 years, and a walker and biker, I believe a safe traffic free bike path is a positive asset for Grand Island.

I am opposed to the bike path. For one thing, as a former biker in this area a path is unnecessary. I, as well as others, happily and safely have used local roads. To stop usage of the Parkway to motor vehicles would result in considerable inconvenience in getting to the north grand island bridge. In my experience motor vehicle usage greatly exceeds bike usage on the Parkway meaning many more motorists use the Parkway than bikers.

I support the Grand Island Bike Path project as long as it preserves green space and extends public access. I recommend working with River Keepers to better utilize the Grand Island Park lands for repopulating native fishing stocks and water ways. I think there should be limits to what could be built to single story open concept so as not to block views of the river from the West River Rd and residences.

I support the bike path , but rethink the 7 parking lots. Three would be sufficient at the end of each crossroad.

Does the board have anyone reasonable explanation as to why they are against the path. Because everything I have heard is all BS. life long resident 100% for the bike path

Just drove the parkway over to weekend to explore since we are new island residents. So beautiful and so much potential!!!! Making a bike path/walking path would only add to the beauty and let everyone access it rather than speeding by at 55mph!
