This would be safer and me and my father work out biking around the island but there is only so far you can go with this
New bike path it would increase are work out time and instead of going are 8 mile bike ride to bever island then half to turn around we would go all the way down the new bike path

I cannot see the downside to this, except for the people who don't want change to affect them. A rising tide raises all ships.

To those who live on West River -- if the parkway is closed, do you REALLY believe that people who are accustomed to travelling that road @ 55 mph+ are going to maintain the 30 mph speed limit currently on the service road??? Do you want that increased volume of traffic going by your homes each day and night?

The traffic volume on the Parkway is minimal. Providing a biking path, along with walking, benches and improved overlooks would benefit the entire Island. Update the Beaver Island Parkway bike path too!
