In the 12 years I've lived in EDH, I've never seen such community engagement and support for Oak Ridge than I have in these past couple years. #Leadership

I am a senior at Oak Ridge. Mr. Burke has been the most caring, connected, interactive, and helpful mentor I have ever had. Every time I saw him walking around campus he always came over and asked me how my classes were, how life was, etc. He has been so friendly and caring, creating a loving and safe environment at OR, but a particular memory sticks out IMMENSELY above any others. On prom night at Sacramento State, my group and I were stranded 3 hours after the dance because our bus forgot to pick us up. After all of the other staff left, Mr. Burke waited with our group, helping us contact the bus (because it had all of our belongings) and our parents. Once we got ahold of the company, the circumstances of them picking us up seemed sketchy... Multiple vehicles picked up few at a time from our group and took us to Sunrise Boulevard to meet our original bus (Sketchy Sketchy Sketchy). MR. BURKE FOLLOWED US (IN HIS OWN CAR) TO SUNRISE PAST MIDNIGHT TO MAKE SURE WE GOT TO OUR ORIGINAL BUS SAFELY! I have never in my life seen someone care so greatly for a group of kids. Mr. Burke did not NEED to do that, but because he is so compassionate and truly cares about his students, he did. Mr. Burke truly makes a difference at Oak Ridge High School, and he should remain our principal, mentor, and friend.

As a mom of three future Oakridge students, I strongly support Paul Burke and find him to consistently be compassionate and of high moral character. Please reinstate Paul Burke as Principal of Oakridge! Our community will only benefit in having his leadership qualities at our high school.
