The proposed plan is not acceptable. Of course a development should be allowed. But incorporating the character of the surrounding neighborhood(s) should be of the highest priority. Imagine the uproar if this type of plan was proposed for where the Sgt Jasper is....

The density of houses on this small tract of land and the absence of parking for the proposed park will negatively impact the neighborhood. Water run-off will be inadequate. Visitors will park on the unpaved shoulders of Ashley Hall Plantation Rd., tear up the road and shoulders, and create a traffic hazard.

When do the people who will be negatively affected have a say over the almighty dollar?

As designed this does not match the surrounding community and is not well thought out.

The homes around this proposed development are to beautiful to have cluster homes built on top of them, taking away their value .

This does not need to happen and you all know it ! It's all about money and if you have that much money to develop it then you already have enough and you don't need anymore so stop the greed !

Please preserve the history, beauty, and dignity of this land. This is a greater concern than cramming 60+ houses and 120+ cars into this area of natural beauty.

I strongly disagree with the developer as this stands, Cluster homes in this area would look uncharacteristic to the surrounding neighborhood, increase traffic that is already bad, could have an impact of additional flooding, who would pay for the separation fence of Ashley Harbor to this neighborhood, insufficient parking within the development and no parking for the designated park. This is to name a few issues........................

You will be putting children in Ashley Hall Plantation in danger by allowing this development. There is limited access to this "new neighborhood." Shouldn't children be allowed to play outside without hundreds of cars passing by their homes daily? If the developers build a new bridge to their new neighborhood, then traffic could be routed that way. That bridge should be a stipulation of their going forward with the development.

The road infrastructure for this area is not capable of handling 62 (120+ additional cars) additional houses. Traffic along Orange grove road, and Ashley Hall road is already an issue. This area is known to flood. When the Developer modifies the area who will be liable for the flooding that this neighborhood will cause? Just look at Shadowmoss, after the hurricane induced flooding 70% of the new development in that area had the homes flooded.

I am against the plans for the new neighborhood as planned, changed NEED to be made to have this new neighborhood accecptable. Lot sizes need to be bigger, and homes need to be bigger, maybe 24 large homes with large price tags on them. If that can work in Mt. Pleasant why can't that work in West Ashley. The are very few areas inside of 526 with new large homes, I feel this will also not devalue Ashley Harbor or the other neighboring homes, and if the homes are nice, they will sell. or People can go 45 minutes to Park West with a ton of traffic and spend their money there

Too many houses are being proposed for that small area. It is one of the prettiest areas in West Ashley, never mind a Historic one. Every effort should be made to protect it and develop it carefully. There has been so much effort to clean up West Ashley yet this new development does not fit in with the existing neighborhood and would take away from the existing properties and landscape. In addition, the traffic that is already a problem will become so much worse with 100 plus cars on a road that can't support them. Also, there is the issue of flooding. As we residents know, this area floods. With the modification to the land, this could potentially be devastating for the surrounding homes and streets and for the new proposed development. The last thing anyone would want would be a wasteland of homes in West Ashley.
Please limit the number of homes to be built there. The proposal as it stands could be detrimental.
