Appeal Against Ruda Plan on Green Field Site in AONB

I love Croyde and wouldn't want to see the area spoiled by more development.

Too much development for size of village

please no more large planning allowances in Croyde, roads and infrastructure already at breaking point in summer. Ruda is already huge.

Far too many holiday makers as it is... let’s keep our green spaces and wildlife!

I used to live in Croyde and regularly visit.

Greedy- will spoil a beaut corner of Devon

I object to any land being used for the sole purpose of entertainment & leisure. If any land is used, it should be towards housing the homeless in the North Devon area. Is there going to be some kind of ‘donation’ made to the local area to sustain natural habitat?

Living directly opposite the proposed site I wish to object to these plans. At the moment we enjoy the wildlife in these fields (foxes, hares, rabbits, birds and badgers). I’d much rather have this than more caravans and tourists. Croyde is saturated as it is let alone another large field full of caravans. Our infrastructure just cannot keep up.

If this is passed, there will be another , then another, then another Planning request until you will not be able to see a blade of grass in Croyde and traffic will become a huge problem.

I object to this planning application

Ruda already has a huge footprint and when entering Croyde is very visual we need to keep Croyde’s beauty!

The green space should be protected it provides a protective natural break between any development and the beach.

Croyde is already bursting in the summer, it is important to keep green spaces in the village.

The roads are not able to hold the volume of traffic

Croyde already increases hugely in size in the summer due to the influx of visitors, many of whom are staying at Ruda, already a big operation in the village. There is no need for further capacity, and certainly no justification for developing green space, which is what currently attracts visitors in the first place. Croyde has been a holiday destination for a long time, but this amounts to overdevelopment.

Don’t want ruda ruining croyde.

This has really not been thought through! Traffic is already at an all time high in the area. Sewage, services and facilities have not been taken into consideration and locals would be badly affected

Ruda does not need to be any bigger than it already is.

Croyde if "full" in the summer, no more development please and if AONB means anything this should be refused

This should not be allowed, aesthetically, historically. May as well re name croyde - ruda.
