Appeal Against Ruda Plan on Green Field Site in AONB

I strongly disagree with this move to allow more accommodation to be built. I worry that Croyde has already got too many people for the infrastructure in the summer months. Tourism can have a negative impacts on local residents as well as a bring money and work to the area.

Ruda has already destroyed all the beautiful hedgerows which existed when I lived in Croyde. They have zero landscaping and the place looks more like a barracks. Leave the field alone - our wildlife and birds need it more than Parkdean!

Ruda have little respect for the locals and are only interested in a quick profit. It appears they are given special privileges for what is essentially an unattractive campsite full of ugly sheds.

Croyde is being swamped, there are already enough places for visitors to stay and neither Braunton nor Georgeham can take any more holiday traffic.

No excuse to ruin the coast with poor planning or pander to people who try to weedle through planning under the radar, by using dodgy tactics like this.

This is a valuable green space and must not be developed

Croyde has reached a tipping point, visitors come because they are attracted by the beauty, over development and additional tourists will spoil this appeale

I live close to this proposed site. The noise from Ruda during the summer is already quite disturbing, if it were to move closer it would really impact on our life especially at night. Also the traffic along Moor Lane is already ridiculous. From 8 am when staff start arriving, then tourists coming too and fro throughout the day, shift changes and the many delivery lorries all add to the congestion. Add that to the fact that there is no pavement along certain stretches and local children have to negotiate the road for the school bus, it is an accident waiting to happen which further development of Ruda will make worse. Then there is the sewage treatment works which already cannot cope. During peak season there are tankers queuing to take sewage away, this goes on all day long. In a nutshell Croyde cannot cope with any more mass tourism. We are full to bursting and the quality of life for residents is diminishing!

They have a huge area anyway. Croyde is being over run with corporate business coming in and monopolising the area! This is purely a greed project that will further corporately vandalise Croyde!

Back door housing under the guise of camping

No more caravans I know it’s a great holiday destination but save something for the loving locals to enjoy and to preserve the natural beauty of our coast! The AONB does amazing work don’t destroy that for a few more ££ from tourist!!

The infrastructure of the village is already over whelmed by the influx of tourists. More would be disastrous for the village and surrounding areas.

From living in croyde my whole life this would be taking away the beauty that croyde has referring to green fields and open space!

AOAB sites should be protected from greedy outsiders who are only interested in quick profits.

We need to save more of are green areas to my mind ruda is big enough the roads around hear are strugling as it is

Unnecessary expansion into historically important land

There is already more traffic and pollution from queuing cars than the area can cope with any more will be extremely damaging for local people and surrounding countryside and wildlife

This beautiful village will be spoilt by over development is this application is allowed to go ahead.

I do think that there has been to much development over the years in Croyde and is to close to the beach .
