Appeal Against Ruda Plan on Green Field Site in AONB

I am against this. There are enough places to stay in Croyde

Find another space and don’t kill our beauty!

Yet another encroachment on green belt area for none other than financial greed.

Croyde is over-saturated as it is. Further development will be the ruination of an already packed village. And the knock-on effect will cause a disastrous impact on an already over-congested Braunton.

I support this petition for the reasons stated therein.

Wholly inappropriate to further populate this area with more holiday accommodation. The character of Croyde as a small coastal village must be preserved. It's the reason people visit and would be wholly unfair on residents to have more of their village swallowed up by a huge holiday park. Please realise that enough is enough. If Parkdean Holidays (Ruda) start flexing their corporate muscle in this community it will alienate the company and sour relations. No more caravans, lodges, holiday homes in green field sites!!! There really are enough already.

AONB, green field site, existing infrastructure overloaded, sewage has exceeded max levels this summer and discharged into the sea.

I object to more green fields being used for the purpose of caravans/tents or buildings in Croyde. It is a area of beauty and there are enough local private campsites to facilitate everyone. Parkdean already have more than enough space at Croyde and to land grab more is just insensitive to the local community

Croyde is too small for an even bigger holuday park.It must have its green spaces or be spoilt forever

The sewage treatment works cannot cope with the current number of lodges and caravans let alone more.... Also this has always been agricultural land apart from camping in the summer which Mr Yates introduced after lots of attempts to develop this area and take away the public rights of way....

Green fields sites need to be preserved or we will loose the charm and serenity of the countryside

Already far too much development in Croyde already

No, no, no. Keep the green fields ANOB as special places, Croyde doesn’t need to have plenty of infill building that will follow if this was to succeed.

Croyde is a small village and does not have the infrastructure for this type of development. Having this development on an area of outstanding natural beauty will harm the aesthetics of the area and more importantly the wildlife. There is no good reason for this development to take place other than profit. No good will come to the community or the natural environment. It will just put pressure on the overstretched infrastructure, natural habit and residents.

When we are out walking and you look down upon the sheer size of Ruda already covering a huge area , please no more development enough is enough

Don’t do any more damage to Croyde

No to developing on places of outstanding natural beauty.

There’s too much building in the village and this kind of development is in danger of the village losing its identity. Plus there’s not enough infrastructure to service these people, the village is at a virtual standstill each summer as it is!!
