Appeal Against Ruda Plan on Green Field Site in AONB

Development is already rife at croyde and area, it's a natural treasure and its environment will be destroyed by over development, and too many people. Been coming to croyde for 40 yrs and already see how its changed for the worse

As an owner of a timeshare at Croyde Bay Holidays, I object to Parkdean Holiday Park Ltd's plan to build on the adjoining agricultural reason, for two principal reasons: 1 - This field makes an important contribution to the character of the AONB. 2 - The addition traffic which this development would create would further over-stretch the existing road network, degrading the experience of those living in and visiting this area.

Major concern about the site right on the beach owned by mr salt marsh and ruda is this in the plan also

AONB exists for a reason and covering of existing land by this excessive development by company seeking profit Should be Refused as previous attempts have rightly been

In the school holidays especially, Croyde is ‘full’.I think it would be a mistake to continue to allow further developments.

Croyde has too many caravans already and retention of the green spaces of the AONB is important.

I have relatives who lived in Braunton, who were on very early morning metal detecting on Croyde beach. Rude had dumped a large pile of waste on the beach waiting for the oncoming tide to take it out to sea. I have never been a customer or fan of that company ever since. It beggars belief that they did this.

stop expanding it now before we loose what croyde is altogether...

Ruda is big enough. No need for expansion. The infrastructure of the village can not maintain this increase of visitor volumes. Sewerage systems especially. Motor vehicle and Pedestrian conflict on the roads especially in the vicinity of The Thatch.

Visited this site yesterday and agree with the statement sometimes enough is enough. There is no need to take more of the natural landscape for financial gain. The local access roads and infrastructure can’t take any more congestion. Keep the site exclusive

....this has to stop!!!! already my Mum has seen so much destruction of beautiful scenery there, us too....money is the root of all evil

In the original planning application no intention was expressed to place further static caravans over a greater area. This is an AONB and should be left as such. In addition if such an application were to be granted on Appeal, this would lead to further congestion of the alread "summer" congested roads in and around Croyde leading to a further detrimental effect of both Croyde and surrounding villages. Respectfully request this Appeal be refused.

sometimes enough is enough

I lived in croyde as a child an only live 20mins away now an visit family in croyde, please don't ruin this lovely place by putting more holiday places, traffic is bad enough now.

This area is a beautiful, green, open space and should be left as such, not have the habitat destroyed by siting of yet more accommodation on it. Thank you.

Would be a diaster, the roads now are chocablock especially in summer, Braunton is a bottle neck, it needs another. Road. Or Bridge to cope now with the volume of traffic.

I object strongly to any developments in Croyde such as these. The village can not sustain more growth and more importantly doesn’t need it. Let’s preserve the special place that Croyde is.
