My 4th grade son rushed to get to football practice on time and worked hard every week because he could not wait to be awarded the honor of wearing number 44 at a game. Children who knew Anthony admired him. And those who didn’t should learn more about him and be inspired by him. There is no one more deserving of having Pelham’s hometown field named after them than Anthony. For both what he did on and off the field. He led by example, until the very end.

Anthony devoted everything he had into the football program for as long as he could and impacted each player positively both on and off the field. He deserves this honor.
