Calling for the ADS National Board to Cease Divisive Emails

A well-written note with the sincere hope of strengthening our brothers' and sisters' bonds across the country. I hope the negativity and politicking plaguing the ADS today can be put aside, so that the ADS can be used as a tool to establish a closer-knit, more peaceful, and fruitful Druze brotherhood.

Have faith ,don't give up

I hope in brief and simple words express what we need. Decisions are better when we reach out to our community's needs by consulting not by abusing power by being elected.

The hope in this community lies in its youth. I fully support a dignified, free and forward thinking druze community. The current actions of the board reminds me of the days in Lebanon where militia men ruled the streets with guns and public beatings of citizens and peer pressure to respect the Baik and the Meer. Those days and that life has led to us living in America while our grandparents and family members remained in the "cemetery of dreams" and "broken spirits" AKA Lebanon and in general the entire Middle East. Enough hypocrisy. If you are interested in being an "Ishtirakee" and/or a "Rislanee", then jump on a plane and head down to Beirut and donate your money and support Mr. Jumblat and Mr. Arslan. But do not bring your dirt to America, let these people who have paid so dearly for the price of freedom and truth be. There are great people in this community, and there is obviously some very stinky ones too. No pun intended but for those stinky ones there is plenty of trash in Lebanon where you will feel right at home! And God Bless America and all those Intelligent and honest Druze out there.

Please stop trying to bring what has destroyed, and continues to destroy our motherland, to our new home. This archaic mentality and egoistical demeanor will not be tolerated by intelligent, progressive, individuals who truly care about our culture and unity. It's simple: just go back to Lebanon and be a sheep there, you will fit right in :)

I will give my vote by saying yes to remove the National Board from their action.

We should all remember what the ADS is about and leave out politics of the old country(s) and think of the future generation. ADS should not be a vehicle for political affiliation by some board members or presidents to parties in Lebanon or elsewhere.

We need decorum in our midst

The recent public airing of grievances by our ADS leadership team via email has been disheartening, and has inclined me to disassociate myself and my family from the ADS. To restore professionalism, please consider communicating ADS challenges and opportunities via meeting minutes and quarterly/annual updates while citing facts and using non-biased and non-subjective language.

End these disputes amongst each other and if you're unable, please just resign. Someone else is able to carry on. After all, the position your we're elected or assigned to is a volunteer position. It's not a position of power. You're here to serve the community and that's all.

The ADS' intention is to preserve our culture. The behavior of many people on the board is foreign to our culture. There is a complete disregard for respect and hospitality, the foundations of our culture. Instead, many are brining archaic behaviors that parallel those that are destroying our homeland's government. The ADS is not a place to puff out your chest and grow your ego, it is a place to preserve our faith, which is becoming harder and harder to do with each generation in this modern world. The more you act foolishly and foreign to the next generation, the more you push them away. If you find yourself acting out of line, question your motives in volunteering and rather readjust or resign. We have had many others fling mud at our people throughout history and abuse us, we don't need it from you our own people too. I'm proud of the youth and you are the true representation of our community, not those horrid, disgusting, and embarrassing emails that represent ignorance, and not our faith.
