The danger of this road surface should be rectified without delay. I witnessed yet another accident today 15.2.14

Course it is. I drive that road 3-4 times a week and know plenty of other people that drive it regularly and haven't had any problem, people need to learn how to slow down without panicking in the corner and breaking.

It isnt 'utter rubbish' I crashed here and I know full well I was doing 35 mph as I had only just passed my test so was being super slow and very careful.

I agree it does needs something doing to it but most of it is down to driver error. People come from the motorway or down roan edge doing 70mph plus, come to the first bend and break hard, that unbalances the car weight wise and causes the back end to come out. Some people who've crashed saying they were only doing 30mph,that's utter rubbish,u can easily drive round them bends and 45mph-50mph no problem, but your tought to break before the corner and accelerate out,not fly in to it and then break.

It's going to take a death before anything is done and then it will be to late! Get it sorted out!

This road is so dangerous, actions needs to happen now not in the summer. The council are resurfacing a section of the road further down the hill next week which is bad a must admit however it is no where near as dangerous as this top section is. Local residents and frequent users of this road are slipping on an almost daily basis - these are not tourists who dont know the road. There are many accidents, skids and near accidents that are not reported so the road is far far worse than the council make out. Action is needed before someone dies - simply putting a 20mph speed limit on only goes to try to reduce the councils liability when the public try to claim on their insurance. Sort it!

I've lost control of my Car and spin out in the middle of the road... Coming from Kirkby Stephen to Kendal College three times a week it's either this way or the Greyrigg. both roads are dangerous and the student who travel distance to college need safer roads so we can get to college on time without the threat of delays and the worry that the cars I've worked for doesn't get written off on a road surface that isn't appropriate for the usage of Cars.

Dangerous and disgraceful; needed fixing months ago.

I travel along this road four times daily. Every week there is evidence of accidents. Even slow driving can result in a skid

This needs addressing as a matter of urgency please!

This stretch of road, despite a 20 mile an hour speed limit being imposed, is still experiencing at least one crash a week!

My daughter was involved here with a car driven by a friend's parent sliding into the wall and the debris of the previous collison. The car was written off.

Nothing wrong with the road. I drive it regularly. Lots of people driving too slow and totally frustrating people behind into silly overtaking - or with no clue about driving round corners safely, ie, brake before the corner (not in it) and drive round it at a sensible speed.

2012 fortunetly he and his passenger were ok unlike his car which was a total write off the council need to think about this also the expence it's costing young drivers to replace their cars not to mention the insurance open your eyes and get it fixed!
