There is so much in life that you cannot put a value on, and hustle dancing at the 92Y is one of them - it's a cultural heritage that needs to be preserved.

Social dancing is important, it builds confidence, brings the community together, it's where people first experience eureka moments that push their love for dancing further. Speaking as an ex Ballroom competitor, in my days ballroom was full of horses being trained to prance, outside representing your school there was not social outlet. Partnered dancing was never about competition to begin with, let's not forget that.

I thought the intention of having YMCA is to provide activities for local community. So why would you like to close this social dance. This is the best place where all of us can meet and have fun.

When I travel to NYC from NJ to dance socially I look for the best ballroom dance floors. The 92nd St Y is definitely worth the trip for me. I've made friends in Manhattan and dancing at the Y is a wonderful place for us to get together. Surely out of 52 weeks in the year the 92nd St Y can share a few of them with us social dancers. Please.

In the statement "NYC may loose yet another, etc." The word should be LOSE. Loose means something else.

Social swing dance at the 92nd street why is a staple in the community and a very important part of our culture please don't take this away from us. Some of my favorite social dance studios have already been forced to close their doors due to high cost and corporate profits. Please be one of the few strong and proud venues that puts dance and culture a head of profits
