On Sept 11th 2001 3000 innocent people lost their lives in a suicide attack on the United States of America. 9-11-2001 was a day that changed many lives. 9 years later, the lights that beamed where the tower fell to remember those lives, have gone out, and as I look down the street, I do not see a single American flag being flown. The days after 911 we saw a sense of unity around this nation. As I drove down the street, almost every vehicle had a flag flying from it. Politicals views were pushed a side as we all regrouped from the attacks. 9 years later, Have we forgotten? I have heard not of a single event to honor any of the fallen. Lets bring back the unity, and make a change today! 911 should be a holiday such as memorial day and Independence day, to be with our families, and fly the flag high, and be patriotic. Don't sit their and forget. Make 911 a National Holiday to remember the lives lost and the impact of that day. What ever your politcial views, I think we can all agree that day changed our lives, and we shall never forget. I hear everyone talking of "change" these days. We need to "change" and get back to the foundation of remembering what it is to be free.
