Currently, the 7/8th grade team has decided to move next year's 8th grade trip (and possibly all future 8th grade trips) to Springfield/St. Louis.

As many of you are aware, it has become tradition for the 8th graders to take a very special trip not only to celebrate their time and hard work at Alcott, but to gain an immeasurable historical and class-unifying experience. For the last four years, the trip has been to Boston. The students and chaperones have raved about this trip, and many incoming 8th graders have been looking forward to going to Boston since it’s inception. It should be noted that we have made sure any child who wants to go on this class trip is able to through fundraising efforts.

As a parent of a child who has attended the Boston trip, and/or one who will be attending in the future, I support changing the trip back to Boston for next year's (and all future) 8th graders.
