It would be tragic not to preserve the historical homes that still exist in Greenwich today, particularly those that have been so thoughtfully, tastefully and completely renovated to today's living standards.

It saddens me that someone who is fortunate enough to own Hobby Horse Farm would not want to preserve and enjoy it. The demolition would be destroying more of our town's history.

Why on earth would you want to erase all that history from our town?

History needs to be preserved, not re-built.

It broke my heart to see the demolition sign when I drove past the house on Thanksgiving day. I live in a historic house, built in 1790, and just added an addition. I hope that my renovation will bring a wonderful lifestyle for future families to enjoy even 100 years from now. It saddens me to think that someone could knock down this truly exquisite gem filled with beauty and rich in history.

Such a shame. Were is the sense of community. We have become a society of throwing away neighborhoods and beauty for a zip code.

With every old home and property that is allowed to be demolished and subdivided, the charm of Greenwich is diminished. Please do not allow the "development" of Greenwich to ruin the town.

One of my favorite houses on one of my favorite streets. Save our history. This house is in stunning condition and it is a crime to even consider razing it

For shame... Where is the Town of Greenwich on this matter? An 1840 Greek Revival manor home (that's in great condition) demolished for new construction?
