56 CLAPBOARD RIDGE - PETITION AGAINST DEMOLITION!

It's painful to see this happen in Greenwich, my hometown. My parents' house, an architectural beauty and historical treasure was demolished. This is atrocious!

Enough destruction of historic homes in town! The entire character and personality of Greenwich is changing and not for the better. P&Z needs to protect our historic homes and homesites and not just allow another enormous home to be built, regardless of how that might add to the town coffers.

Always admired this house when I drove by.

This magnificent home should be preserved and protected. No one should be allowed to demolish it so that they can put up another McMansion monstrosity.

I came here as a little girl with my grandfather. Many happy memories. What a beautiful property as well.

I am very familiar with this house since a very close friend owned it until 2001. We shared many wonderful celebrations in the house and its history was left undisturbed for many years. The demolition of this fine home put a serious dent in the history of Greenwich.

This is a classic charming home with true New England character. Please let's not forget the history of our town and lose the understated elegance that remains.
