I have lived on Johns Island for 18 years. I knew when I moved here growth was coming and talk of 526 was on the table. Please quit talking and start the construction. I pray we don't have a major disaster that makes getting off of John's Island mandatory. Many lives will be in danger.

This constant gridlock is getting old, and it's a very serious safety issue.

After the mess we had out here this last week, that proves that we need 526!! I am so tired of this traffic and it is not going to get any better.

I would appreciate it very much if we could move forward to complete the I-526 project from West Ashley to the 30 connector on Folly Rd. I live on Johns Island and feel this project would benefit West Ashley, Johns Island, Wadmalaw Island, James Island and Charleston. I also feel that if we were in the path of a hurricane, our roads as they are will be inadequate for evacuation. I moved to Johns Island under the illusion I-526 was going to be completed.

It is past time to have the infostructure to safely care for & manage the people already here on Johns Island even if it means stopping all others growth plans till 26 is under way

This needs to be the number one road priority in Charleston. We can't wait 30 more years!

We have been waiting for far too long for this to get done. I've lived in Charleston all my life...I was born here and I don't understand how we can keep building community after community...apartment complexes...neighborhoods on top of neighborhoods and the only section of interstate to see improvement is the I-26 & I-526 intersection and the widening of Ashley Phosphate Road. Our infrastructure is sorely lacking; we have entirely way too many people living here and nowhere for their vehicles to go...FIX THIS ISSUE IMMEDIATELY!!!

What is it going to take to get this moving? Was main Road flooding enough to have our legislators and public official act on this project?

By delaying finishing 526 we are putting people at risk. We saw what happend when one bridge closed. What if there was an emergency and we needed to get off the island. There are currently over 5 new subdivisions being built just around our home off Maybank and countless others too I'm sure. Even if people want to keep Johns Island rural - it's a little late for that. They should have thought about that before building thousands of new homes.

We are so over due to get this road finished.I live on Johns Island and it is horrible to get on and off. Used to be only during "rush hour" but now it seems to be a " parking lot" at any time of day.
