We, the signed, move to have Monticello Elementary School (Huber Heights, Ohio) renamed in memory of former Principal James M. Johnson, who passed away in 2004. His 30 years of amazing work deserves to be honored in this way, and we hope you agree with us. Thank you.

The momentum for this renaming is incredible. Seeing this community come together to honor Principal Johnson makes all the effort worth it.

Mr. Johnson was the best principal I ever had. He really cared about every student that walked through those doors. It would be a great honor to rename the school for him.

Long overdue. He put his heart into that job for 30 years. My kids still talk about him.
